House prices

I am told that house prices in Scotland could slump if a Yes vote prevails, because of general uncertainty and non-Scottish voters getting out.

This might be good for first-time buyers but worrying for those many Scots whose house is virtually their sole financial asset. For some of these, negative equity could loom. Is this scaremongering? Maybe, but I for one would not risk gambling with my main asset.
