Climate change scientists are drinking to another round of ­lucrative research grants.

The renewables propaganda machines are gearing up for further press releases and articles in the media.

I hate to put a dampener on their joy but someone in the Met Office warned that the weather record of one individual year cannot be attributed to man-made global warming and that this does not
necessarily say anything about long-term ­climate change, which needs to be looked at over a longer timescale of several decades.

I wonder if that individual is still in a job?
