Regarding the poisoning of raptors in Scotland, I found interesting reading in a book by P Jeffrey Mackie, The Keeper’s Book, from March 1834 in the county of Sutherland.
Some 141 golden eagles with 53 young and eggs were destroyed.
Some 20 other species of “vermin” are mentioned.
