Heartfelt plea

After a double-bypass, I attended the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for my final consultation, and had an ECG and X-ray done with little delay in a caring, reassuring and professional manner.

However, in the waiting room I noticed statements that in May 140 patients missed appointments. If we want the NHS to survive, we all have a duty to turn up as arranged.
