Have some heart for the Jambos

TOM English's column simply reads like a list of all the reasons that Mr English has for disliking Hearts (Sport, 14 February).

To claim that the situation surrounding Andy Driver is in some way the player's or Hearts FC's fault is well wide of the mark.

Furthermore, the situation regarding the two players fighting is not completely uncommon in the game, as unpalatable a thought as that might be.

It should also be pointed out that Avram Grant was a penalty kick away from the Champions League. Which is quite a bit closer than any SPL manager will ever get.

However, the part I most object to is the second from last paragraph and the "pity the fly" remark. This is a football club that is very dear to me and this remark is quite unacceptable.

I appreciate Hearts are a difficult club to get news and information from and this must be particularly frustrating when it's your job to break said news, but come on, you are better than cheap shots such as Mr English's article.
