Hardline war

IT IS time that politicians stop taking a softly, softly touch in Afghanistan.

The international Special Services units, deadly weapons and fire-belching tanks should be used to sweep away the murderous Taleban. If they cannot treat their own with respect, how can we believe they can expect to be received with any dignity by the world's governments and people.

Now, another stain is on their record with the murder of a female doctor, who volunteered to help those who suffered at the hands of the Taleban. Nations like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and Iraq should now condemn and not feed the murderous bunch with money and weapons. Every other world power should send in air power to annihilate the Taleban.
