Growing protest

AS AN American with Scottish roots, I would like to declare my opposition to the planting of thousands of trees in the Abernethy Old Caledonian Forest.

National parks, unlike municipal ones, are of scientific importance as they allow the study of evolution in pristine conditions, where the impact of mankind is curtailed. It is for this reason that tree planting at Abernethy is so wrong.
