Going Dutch

Now that Scotland has become a more equal society and is following the ethos of Holland, in relation to same-sex marriage (your report, 5 February), would it be possible to take another leaf out of the Dutch philosophy and legalise cannabis?

Surely the fact part of the United States is about to make a fortune from legalisation should be an incentive for the Scottish Parliament, which will be needing additional resources after independence.

What an opportunity to be a more tolerant and equal society while funding pensions, the Scottish health service and removing the dealers from our society?
