Go for it, Andy
It’s wonderful that Andy Murray is making Dunblane famous for something other than the awful massacre of innocents (your report, 24 June).
Events like that have a terrible power over one’s memory and perception; to this day, seeing signs for places such as Lockerbie and Hungerford gives me a vivid reminder of the lives lost there.
Hopefully, from next month, seeing the word “Dunblane” will instead make people think “Wimbledon champion”.
