Generating costs

Applying the example of full electricity generation in the Danish island of Aereo put forward by Clive B Scott (Letters, 19 October) to us, it would seem that six onshore wind turbines for 7,000 people scales up to nearly 5,000 for our 5 million plus population.

We only have 300 so far with reportedly another 700 coming, so we had better get a move on for the other 4000 needed.

All these on top of solar, heat pump and biomass costs.
