Fur clothing unjustified

We welcome the European Commission's proposal to ban the trade in cat and dog fur (Agenda, 30 November). But the trade in the skins of other animals will continue.

We ask people to avoid buying anything with real fur or fur trim. Wearing of any real fur, which causes so much suffering, surely cannot be justified.
