Fringe in Leith

I agree with Brian Ferguson (Inside Arts, 17 August) that the Fringe Festival needs to expand into other parts of Edinburgh.

There are dozens of interesting buildings in Leith that could be turned into venues, and hundreds of bars and restaurants that would appeal to visitors.

It’s not as if it takes that long to get there from central Edinburgh. It’s definitely time for the Fringe to spread its wings.
