Freight from road to rail

I was astonished by your profoundly silly editorial (29 November). I can only assume that The Scotsman opposes removing coal from trucks on Ayrshire's roads. If that, indeed, is your bizarre position, it is wrong. This government uses grants to move freight from road to rail. That makes good business sense and it is the right environmental objective. Maybe you should get out more.
