Free speech fear

The SNP’s plan in its manifesto to take control of the BBC in Scotland will frighten those of us north of the Border with a concern for freedom of speech.

We all became familiar during the referendum with Alex Salmond railing against supposed BBC bias and organised SNP demonstrations outside the corporation’s Glasgow offices.

Is the SNP determined to silence impartial opinion from one of the world’s most highly respected news reporting organisations?

It would appear that, for the SNP, it’s pay back time.
