Fox hunt

IF ADAM Werritty joined Liam Fox on numerous trips abroad (your article, 15 October), and presumably at the minister’s invitation rather than as a gatecrasher, did Dr Fox not ask his friend how he could afford the trip if the costs were not being met out of public funds? If he didn’t, was he being naive? If he did, was he party to the less than transparent funding arrangements now emerging?

Either way, Liam Fox’s credentials for the office he held now look highly questionable.

AS THE Defence Secretary, Dr Liam Fox, has been forced to resign due to an apparent inability to differentiate between his private and public life, this must raise the question of his other abilities, including those needed to have made the decision to close Leuchars in Fife as an RAF base.

I, therefore, urge those who worked so tirelessly to retain RAF Leuchars, to demand a review of how this patently flawed politician arrived at what I consider to be an irrational decision.
