Flush it or bin it?

we READ of the ever-increasing problem of detritus on our beaches and, more specifically, the amount of nappies and wipes, etc, that contribute to
this unhealthy problem (your report, 19 March).

But have those who sit in our council buildings ever considered what one of the major factors may be regarding this situation.

We are all aware that to flush anything down the loo is a method of instant disposal. So maybe this is a backlash brought about by the continual extending of times between bin collections.
