Fighting chance
Homecoming Scotland director Caroline Packham wants no political posturing during the Bannockburn celebrations (your report, 20 March). How did Scotland handle the 500 or 600-year anniversaries? Could it be that there is a 700-year celebration because there is a referendum looming?
I await Mel Gibson’s re-enactment on our TV screens in August.
