Fayre scunnered

Christmas is coming and with it the word “fayre”, a pseudo-archaic version of “fair” (now shayred by “fare”), which I, for one, cannot bayre.

It crops up everywhayre, causing people like myself, who cayre for spelling, to tayre thayre hayre. But, then, nobody spayres a thought for us these days, as we are well awayre.
