Fairer nation

I seem to recall that Margo MacDonald exp­ressed the hope that whatever the result of the referendum, of which she was one of the instigators, the people of Scotland would work together to build a strong and fairer country, no longer “half afraid to know itself”. Doesn’t seem to be happening, does it?
