Fair point

As the father of a daughter I thought Judge Nigel Cadbury was absolutely right to voice his concern that so many young girls put themselves in harm’s way by getting blind drunk.

Of course he was immediately attacked by women’s groups for “blaming the victim”, making rapists “all but invisible” and “perpetuating the idea that sexual violence is inevitable”.

But a drunken girl is easy prey and some men are opportunistic so it is irresponsible to deny that girls should take care not to wander our dark city streets scantily clad and inebriated.
