Fact, not fantasy
As thE vanquished parties at the Aberdeen Donside by-election comfort themselves in defeat, I would suggest to Ken Brown (Letters, 24 June) that one of the “remarkable things” about last week’s vote is that, after being swamped by leaflets from the Labour Party urging the voters to vote No to separation, the voters replied by rejecting Labour and electing a candidate from a party committed to independence.
That, along with Ukip’s lost deposit, is a solid fact, not speculation, which the unionist parties cannot deny.
