Fabulous foodies

I very much agree with Dennis Forbes Grattan (Letters, 26 December) about how proud we should be of Scotland’s fabulous cooking talent.

I love good, imaginatively prepared food and I’m tired of being embarrassed by “deep-friend Mars bars” jokes when I go to other countries.

We have an extraordinary natural larder and plenty of talented chefs who deserve wider recognition. Congratulations to Masterchef: The Professionals winner Jamie Scott
