Evans case

Tom Steel (Letters, 7 January) raises valid points about whether a professional footballer should be denied the chance to earn a living after serving a prison sentence when a joiner, for example, would be allowed back to work.

However, he is missing a key point about this particular case. Ched Evans was found guilty of rape and showed no remorse. Footballers are role models to thousands of young boys.
