EU dishonesty

Following your article, “No campaigners accused of dishonesty over EU claims” (17 July), I would like to remind your readers that Nicola Sturgeon has a bare-faced cheek to claim anyone is being dishonest over the EU.

It was her SNP government that spent tens of thousands of taxpayers’ pounds to prevent the publication of legal advice on the EU, which it then transpired did not even exist.

My Freedom of Information request dragged on for two years before it was revealed they it had not sought advice on membership of the EU.

It is time the SNP was upfront with the people of Scotland and published its full legal ­advice which we now know it has. Any failure to do so highlights the fact that it has something to hide.
