Electoral reform

Looking at the percentages of votes cast in Scotland (your report, 8 May), it is clear that a proportional distribution of the 59 Scottish seats in the UK parliament would be: Labour 25 (they got 41), SNP 12 (got 6), Lib Dems 11 (got 11), Conservatives ten (got one), others one (got nil). We cannot know, until it is tried, how voters will choose to vote in a different electoral system but if the UK is to deserve to be called "democratic" i
