Easter extras

I’ve been somewhat perplexed by all the references I’ve been reading to Easter Sunday. By definition, Easter Day is always a Sunday, so no further qualification should be required.

In fact, as Easter Monday and Easter Tuesday are the Monday and Tuesday after Easter, my Anglican friends assure me that Easter Sunday should be a week after the principal festival. Why the tautology?
