Dungavel disgrace
YOUR report (6 March) about twin brothers aged just six being snatched off the street and detained in Dungavel Detention Centre should awaken the conscience of everyone living in Scotland. What kind of society are we creating when such sinister behaviour is occurring in our name?
The government's high-handed attitude in such cases should not be overlooked when the general election comes along.
The economy is important, but so too is the tradition of Scottish compassion and decency, both of which are being undermined by the London-based, Orwellian-named Home Office.
