Driving us mad

I read Chief Superintendent Murray’s letter (22 October) on policing policies and I’m sure he and his officers are doing their best.

However, in this area, for example, drivers constantly break the law by entering one street through a “no entry” sign and another by using a prohibited right turn.

These may seem minor illegalities but could easily cause a serious collision. The local police do not have the manpower to do anything about it.

Until arrogant drivers, many in the instances observed here professional ones, are educated to realise that the law applies to them or until penalties are dramatically increased, there will be little improvement.
