Down the drain

I am concerned with the attitude of some No voters. They quote figures – with pride – that show Scotland to be a net drain on the UK economy.

Assuming these figures not to be total nonsense, shouldn’t we be concerned at this state of affairs? After all, we have 90 per cent of Europe’s oil. Are we so stupid that we need English Tories to manage our finances? Instead, the No voters seem to be advocating that we continue to sponge off England.

What altruism David Cameron and his party (and of course Labour) showed in the referendum! They could have got rid of a tiresome drain on their finances.
