Double standards

Someone tell me if I’ve got the unionist position correct. The rest of the UK is keen to hang on to Scotland, despite claiming to subsidise us heavily.

The European Union, on the other hand, would want rid of us though it is well aware of the richness of our natural resources. Implausible? Is the No camp perhaps keeping its better arguments for later in the referendum campaign?
