Don't call me British
Ross D McLean (Letters, 22 July) is offended by stickers proclaiming "Scottish not British". Perhaps he now understands how many Scots feel when being routinely referred to as "British" throughout the media, despite the fact many of us regard ourselves as nothing of the kind.

It is unfortunate Ross D McLean is disquieted when he sees signs indicating that Scotland is Scotland, not Britain. I find myself with similar feelings of disquiet whenever I see the Union flag flapping about in my country.
