Dogmatic SNP

Your report (5 June) on the hostile attitude of the SNP administration to GM food is disturbing. It is not only the knee-jerk opposition and reaction to the UK Government's moves but once again the degree to which the SNP make decisions based on dogma, rather than reason or logic.

In many ways, the SNP attitude is reminiscent of religious fundamentalism at its worst – GM foods may feed the poor and nuclear power may keep the lights on when the winds stops, but the Book of Dogma says no. It is rather sad.
