AS THE price of oil goes down and down, let us now sing a song of praise to the reviled 55 per cent, because it becomes ever clearer that they have saved Scotland from economic disaster.
Meanwhile our governing party, obsessed with making cheap political points at Westminster, seems to be failing everywhere we look – energy policy, the NHS, education, social care, Police Scotland. In a coalition, they can’t even keep the streets of Edinburgh clean.
