Cruel experiments

ACCORDING to reports a recent study by scientists at Queen Mary, University of London found that cockroaches are social beings who “talk” to one another about food and prefer to dine in groups.

In an earlier study, researchers used computer simulations to show that insects have enough neural circuits to possess consciousness and that they may even be able to count.

Performing amateur surgery on insects is cruel and exactly the opposite of progressive science, including the burgeoning field of miniature robotics, which has left animal experimentation in the dust in favour of humane,
cutting-edge methods.
