Crowded house

The article (27 July) about the Pavilion in Linlithgow brought back happy memories for me. I played guitar with a Linlithgow group, the Hurricanes, and we were booked for a weekend to play the Pavilion in the early 1960s. What sticks in my memory was the dearth of sleeping accommodation in the attic.

Another band was booked for the same weekend, each group being allocated different slots during the two evenings. As a result, we had to sleep three to a bed or grab what chairs were available. Happy memories.
