I am fed up with “accountants” being constantly linked to tax avoidance/evasion. Anyone would thing that is all they did. In fact, taxation is only a small part of accountancy training or working life. I spent my career in finance and never dealt with tax. It is deplorable a learned and honourable profession should be disparaged in this way.
