Close to home
Our children are in their 30s now and both of them are still renting while they save up for a deposit – and all the other costs associated with buying a home.
Their only friends of similar age who own homes are those whose parents helped with their deposit, or those who were prepared to live in the suburbs – far away from the “fun” that our offspring prioritised.

We do, however, have advice, and I’m assured that one day they will listen to it.
