Climate action

In HIS review of actions needed to offset anthropogenic climate change (AGW), Pat Kane suggests we leave petroleum and gas in the ground and adapt to very-much reduced energy generation so as to reduce greenhouse gas output and so save the world from dangerous overheating.

His apparently uncritical acceptance of AGW as mankind’s key causative insult to world climate stability as a damnable but vitally preventable cause of global doom is typical of passionate “Greenies” who believe the worst, most hyped warnings from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, whose unprovable, gloomy climate prognostications have become notoriously unreliable, as yet at least.

The grave scientific uncertainties and widespread failures of international resolve and actions to follow the logical inferences from the warnings mean that the UK Climate Change Acts (2008-9) have become superfluous own-goals, and should be repealed forthwith.

What are our politicians waiting for?
