Class act

Susan Dalgety (Perspective 5 April) claims “middle-class” families send their children to Fettes College. Really? With fees of £7,000 to £9,000 per annum? Maybe we do need these new-fangled LSE categories, from “elite” to “precariat”, after all.

Then again, we could
ignore the whole thing, and restrict the notion of “class” to pupils in a classroom, even if it is at Fettes.
