Challenge to Islam

In TV programmes, historians keep reminding us of events like the Inquisition, and the deeds of Bloody Mary, events, etc, for which the Church cannot but be deeply ashamed.

Today, we have the World Council of Churches - hundreds of churches gathered together to live out his gospel of love. History now suggests that the Muslim world should consider creating a World Council of Islam, to tell their brothers that the time for persecuting the so-called "infidel" is now past.

It was Hans Kung, the Catholic theologian, who wrote: "Until there is peace among religions there will be no peace among the nations.
