Central stations

With the abolition of area police boards what has become of local consultation on the closure of police stations?

With the local boards there would have been consultation through local councillors. Now decisions are made centrally and local communities just have to accept the results.

This is the most centralising government we have ever had.

The island communities should take note. If the Yes camp wins the 2014 referendum don’t expect more powers to be devolved from Holyrood. You have a much better chance of local accountability with Westminster.
