Cause for concern

It would appear a virulent disease is sweeping the land. It is called “Eartomobileosis” and affects many of those who walk our streets, visit restaurants, travel on buses or drive vans and lorries. This affliction is likened to that of obsessional neurosis and it is feared that those infected might eventually become gibbering idiots unable to distinguish between a normal conversation and that of continuous prattle on the mobile.

Innocent victims are those who attend concerts and sporting events and experience “flashing before their eyes”. No cure is in sight but it has been suggested surgery to remove the offending mobile from the ear might be the last resort.
