Burning issue

Dan Arnott (Letters, 8 January) asks us to imagine what an outcry there would have been if it had been Ukip people, and not SNP councillors, who had burned a copy of the Smith Commission report.

How do I put this politely, Mr Arnott? There was an outcry. Does he think members of Ukip are they only people whose views are challenged?
