Budget troubles

I think the SNP would much prefer the Conservatives to win again, despite what they might say about grudging support for Labour in the event of a hung Parliament.

If the Conservatives win again then the Nationalists can continue to argue that the choice is between the Tories and independence.

What the Tories and the SNP have in common is that neither of their economic and budgetary plans add up.

The SNP’s has never added up, even prior to the independence referendum and the situation is even worse now, whether under separation or complete fiscal autonomy.

The Institute for Fiscal Studies has raised serious questions about whether the Tory plans for welfare and other cuts could actually be achieved.

Only Labour as a potential party of government seems to have economic plans that are achievable.
