Brown vow

Strange that Labour Party HQ knows nothing of Gordon Brown’s latest vow that, within 24 hours of taking office, a Labour Government would give a million to Scotland’s foodbanks.

In the Labour manifesto, there is one mention of foodbanks, and that is only to note the numbers now using them.

What was Gordon Brown’s authority for his proposal?
