Your report on the Scottish Futures Trust (26 April) failed to seek a comment from the trust about our work delivering better value for the Scottish taxpayer.

I should like to reassure The Scotsman's readers that the SFT is working tirelessly with public sector partners across Scotland to save millions of pounds of taxpayers' money.

Given the economic outlook, the work of the SFT in delivering continuously better value in the public sector will become even more important in the future.
