Breast screening
Breakthrough Breast Cancer hopes the research by Nordic Cochrane Centre (your report, 24 March) on breast screening and mortality rates does not discourage women from attending breast screening.
The benefits of breast screening outweigh the risks, and screening saves lives. Screening is the best method of detecting cancers at their earliest stage when treatment is more likely to be successful.
