Border worries

Alex Salmond has made great play of Scotland using the example of Ireland in the independence debate.

I was born and brought up in Ireland near the border with Northern Ireland and witnessed at first hand the problems that has caused and in fact still causes.

Because of the currency situation and the exchange rate there was a considerable black market in people smuggling goods from Northern Ireland to the south.

Is this what Alex Salmond wants to encourage along the border between Scotland and England?

My own family motto is “Strength through Unity” which I think all right-thinking Scots should adopt.
