Bond women
I was delighted when the core cast of the next James Bond film was unveiled (your report, 5
December).
Until recently, I hated the franchise with a passion, largely because of the decorous manner in which women were presented.
The term “Bond girl” makes me fume.
So I was very pleased to see that Monica Bellucci, who, at 50, cannot be described as a “girl”, even by the most decrepid soul, was to be playing a key part, and that an actress with the intelligence and poise of Noamie Harris is returning as Eve.
