Body of concern

Amidst all the confusion and uncertainty caused by the barrage of opposing policies and points of view regarding independence, and the seemingly endless stream of claims and counterclaims and contradictory facts and figures, I find myself asking and wanting answers to some very specific questions.

These, at first sight, may seem insignificant, and even naive, compared with questions about the big issues.

However, they are related to the important issues of finance, business, industry, administration, health and welfare.

There are organisations and institutions which are British and UK in their designation, organisation and field of operation. Examples are British Water-ways, the UK Astronomy Technology Centre, Edinburgh, the British Council, the British Council of Churches, the British Medical Association, the CBI, the British Broadcasting Corporation, British Telecom and British Airways.

There will be other similar organisations which operate throughout and from the United Kingdom, even though this may not be specifically indicated in their title. How would Scottish independence affect such organisations and institutions?
